I want to start a listing of trusted vendors.  Here are a few that I have used, and am able to recommend:

AUTOMOBILE INSPECTION http://www.automobileinspections.com
Their inspection saved me from a big mistake, by providing the hard info, w/pics, needed to make a purchase decision.  I decided not to buy!

CARBURETOR http://www.daytonaparts.com/carburetor.html They have the right rebuild kit/parts for your car.  Additionally, when I ran into a problem of my own making when doing the rebuild, they helped me resolve it (via email).

INTERIOR http://www.sms-auto.com/smsauto/public/en/whoWeAre.html They made new door panels for my 62 Olds Dynamic 88 Conv.  The job was perfect!  Additionally, they provided at my request, at no additional cost to me, new material to recover my arm rests.  The only word of caution is, be patient, as quality work takes a bit of time.

Valve technologies --The owner Jim , went out of his way to make certain valves available to me . He had some larger valves and offered to machine them down so he could post them on a friday . I just mentioned that I was in new zealand and was pretty keen to get some soon/quickly. It was jim`s suggestion to do this for me and at no extra cost.
The valves are excellent, the price the same.

Mike,

And what is the cost to get the valves shipped to NZ. If the guy is good, and willing to deal with Pacific islanders, he is a good company to know. Keep him handy.

Dave,
 will keep this short.There are approx 3 rates to ship.From personal delivery by Challenger to reasonable.  BUT, I have a bro in Orange County ,CA. He had a bunch of small stuff in store for me eg .921 lifters etc --Jim sent them to him at my request and my brother was on notice!! to despatch immediately. 15 lbs with delivery in 6 to 10 days was $59 US.


Another guy you chaps may be interested in is a chap called John from Medford(sp) ,Oregon. Olds parts only but has a huge stock of parts which he sells off VERY reasonably.
He is under Blu442 on Classic oldsmobile site .

Thanks for all the useful and commented sharing. Your car is looking beautiful and great, but I like new Rover most of all the cars. It is really awesome car.
