One thing you failed to mention in the newsletter is that when using the battery tenders that once a month or so you should check the elecrolyte level in the battery.  (Disconnect the tender first) Once that all boils or evaporates away the only thing left is explosive gas.  Turning the key to start can cause the battery to explode.

The modern tenders don't generally cause boil off like the old chargers do but one should be mindfull of the possibility.  Certainly with the vented batteries evaporation is a concern.  And, only use distilled water to top off the battery.

Luckily where I live winter storage almost never happens.  We've been in the high 60s and low 70s for the last 10 days or so.  The desert southwest is a wonderful place for classic cars.  The sun is our worst enemy so garages are a must any time the car is unused.
