Hi, my name is Philip, I'm an investments professional based in Switzerland, but I was born and grew up in Cuba. As everyone pretty much knows, back home there are plenty of old American cars, upkept by Cubans in a surprisingly good condition. My father owned an Oldsmobile Super 88.

Can anybody advise where 1950s US-made cars can be purchased in Europe? And how much an 88 would cost here?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Dennis here ,found Dave when I was searching to buy a classic car , my first car I wanted was a 56 Mercury , but after many years I gave up to rare and most need way to much work or if restored are over my budget , so after searching for a classic that was pleasing to me and not what most people like being the fords and Chevy's , came done to 71- 72 Pontiac grand prix or the 62 olds , after many disappointing searches found a 62 Dynamic 88 conv. paid a little more then I wanted . but still happy with what I got , 72 now needed some thing that didn't need a lot of work , just want to relive my younger day for a bit when cruising was a way of life , found Dave's ( saved 62 ) site , been learning a lot about the Olds , joining all the sites and forums that have to do with these Oldsmobile's , Have so much to learn and I am sure between this forum and ClassicOldsmobile.com I can find the help I need , Lucky to grow up in the 50s and 60s great cars and the greatest music ever , both will live on ,
