Saved62 is our pride & joy!  She was the first of what is now a 3-car collection.  2 cars in the collection have moved on and been replaced (1984 Buick Riviera Conv & 1963 Corvair Monza Conv).

Saved62 has an intesting history.  She was purchased from a then closed Oldsobile dealership in Lansing, IL; Martino Olds.  The dealer had sold the car new in November of 1961.  The purchaser was a resident of Indiana.  Not only were they residents of Indiana, they resided in the very same county in which I was born and raised!  We were both roaming the streets of Lake County, IN at the same time!

At the time of our purchase Saved62 had all of 32, 000 documented miles!  There have been more than a few things done to her since being purchased by us in 2005; albeit mostly cosmetic.  The steel wheels were removed, sand blasted and repainted. Cat-eyes were installed over new NRS T3 headlamps.  The tail panel chrome trim was replaced, as the center emblem was cracked. The improper 1964 full disk hubcaps were replaced with the proper dog dish caps and trim rings.  A passenger side-view mirror was installed, as was NOS carpet.  New door panels and arm rest bases were put on, and the arm rest pads recovered. Lastly Saved62 received a gray cloth top in 2009.

She is, to us, a thing of beauty.  We love to drive/show her.  We have put over 3,000 miles on the car so far.  She was taken on the Historic U.S. Hwy 27 5 day drivng tour up the heart of Michigan.

Saved62 has her own web site, providing detailed info on her, as well as a lot of info on the 1962 Oldsmobile, and Ransom Eli Olds.  The web site is
