Hemmings Motor New-Digital Edition reports today that Chevrolet announced that fans of the ride have by popular vote selected the 1969 Camaro as the Best Chevy Ever.
I not only disagree, but am hard put to explain how/why the 1955 Chevrolet was not even a candidate. Afterall, for Chevrolet, the year was groundbreaking in terms of both styling and power.
No other car from any manufacturer looked like it, and for the first time Chevy owners could get a V8 under the hood, the venerable 265 c.i.
Your thoughts?

I don't have a clue what the best Chevy ever would be but certainly not the 69 Camaro. There are way too many to choose from.
53 Bel Air 67 Corvette 65 Chevelle 58 Impala 65 Impala SS 69 El Camino SS 57 Chevy Bel Air four door hardtop (sport sedan I think it's called) Any Chevy Station Wagon 41 Chevy Delux convertable 67 Malibu 60, 63, 66 Corvair
Your list does include another one of my favorites, the 65 Chevelle.
The early Chevelles, 64 and 65 had the best lines in my opinion. They were clean, simple and classy. Later years tried to be more flashy, and I just do not think it worked as well.
