The Oldsmobile Club of America will hold its 2012 National Meet in Des Moines, IA, at the Iowa Event Center. The dates are 4 Jul through 7 Jul.
This year shall differ from previous meets in a number of ways:
Rides shall be displayed indoors
Once parked the cars will remain in place until the close of the show on Saturday.
There is no host hotel.
I do not know how taken I am with the different format? With attendees spread out among 3 hotels, and without access to their cars, how will they be able to get together in the evening? Part of the pleasure dervied from participation is in being with other like-minded Olds owners, isn't it?
What if we want to go out to dinner some night? How do we get to the chosen dining establishment?
It could prove to be intersting? We shall see ... .
