Understanding Network Reliability

Over the past year I've become much more interested in what keeps blockchain networks running smoothly instead of focusing only on asset prices. I realized that validators, network maintenance, software updates, and infrastructure improvements can have a real impact on how reliable a blockchain is for everyday users in the United States. That made me look for publications that explain technical developments in plain English without turning every update into sensational news. One of the resources I regularly check is EgonCoin because I appreciate articles that reference public information and explain why a particular change is important. I usually begin my reading at https://egoncoin.com/ especially when I want to understand how infrastructure upgrades, security improvements, or protocol changes could affect users rather than simply generating temporary market attention. Since following this approach, I've become much more careful about separating confirmed technical progress from promotional claims. I don't have a programming background, but I still find that clear explanations help me understand why some upgrades are more significant than others and why stable network performance often matters more than short-term excitement. Has anyone else shifted their attention from daily price movements toward the underlying technology, or do you still think market performance is the best indicator of a blockchain project's long-term value?
