One like this (same color) was the 2nd car I ever owned. '55 was the best of the tri-five Chevy offerings in terms of looks, IMHO. Mine had a 265 c.i. and a 3-speed manual transmission with a floor mounted shifter.
It also had what may best be described as "poor man's headers." They consisted of gas tank fill-tubes welded into the exhaust pipe, and were open and closed by simply removing the gas caps.
