Tri-five Chevys

One like this (same color) was the 2nd car I ever owned.  '55 was the best of the tri-five Chevy offerings in terms of looks, IMHO.  Mine had a 265 c.i. and a 3-speed manual transmission with a floor mounted shifter.

It also had what may best be described as "poor man's headers."  They consisted of gas tank fill-tubes welded into the exhaust pipe, and were open and closed by simply removing the gas caps.

- Ah, those were the days!
