The May edition of Car Collector Chronicles takes a look at the car collector disorder PCFS (Perennial Cabin Fever Syndrome), classic rides leaving the country and the ancestral link between the mid-30's Chrysler Airflow and the PT Cruiser of the 21st century.
Yet another great issue. I do love those Airflows but I don't think I've seen one in person for over 40 years. I also think that in 20 years or so (if we are still allowed to drive and use gasoline) that the PT Cruiser will indeed be collectable.
Why not, the Yugo is a collectable car now. Just wait. Pontiac Aztec's will be sought after along with first generation Prius.
Hey now, just because a vehicle has age, that does not make it a collectable. Yugos were, and are, pieces of junk. I do not even know if there are that many on the roads in Cuba? If anyone has the tenacity and skill to keep a Yygo rolling, it would be the Cubans.
All I can say is, if and when the Aztec should acquire such status, thanfully I will be long gone from the face of the earth!
Glad you liked the issue. Thanks for the kind words.
