The Belgian's contract stipulates a compensation amount of € 44.5 million, and the Londoners are ready to invest these funds in the transfer of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this.
In 2021, Chelsea paid Inter €113 million for Lukaku's transfer, wanting to return the player who played for the Blues from 2011 to 2014. However, Romelu's return to Stamford Bridge turned out to be a failure, so the forward is spending the second year in a row on loan in Italian teams. First, Lukaku played a season at Inter, and now plays for Roma, for which he scored 19 goals and provided four assists in 42 matches.
If Chelsea manages to get the requested €44.5 million for Lukaku, the club will lose €68.5 million on resale of the player.
