The temps here in Milw yesterday were in the 80's! So, the wife wanted to take the Allante out for the first time this year. I get in, turn the key and let the fuel pump do its thing, along with the brake booster. Then I turn the key to full on and nothing!
Seems as though the Battery Tender clamp on the ground was not making a connection, who knows for how long, and the battery was dead. So much for the Allante ride!
Last fall I purchased a 4' x 6' Oldsmobilie carpet formerly used at a dealerhip. Yesterday, I finally opened the box. This thing was so filthy that clouds of dust literally flew up from it when I unrolled the carpet! I had to spend some time carefully removing some old caked up chewing gum from the carpet. Then I vacuumed it before taking a pressure washer to it. Rivers of brown dirt flowed from the carpet when it was subjected to the pressure washer. I used 409 Carpet Cleaner on it, and more pressure washer washings. After about 3 hours I do have the carpet to the point that it actually looks more than presentable.
So, the day was not a total loss.
